A space for community celebration
View Your Trauma from a different lens

The gun violence Support Group Programming
Processing the trauma
The point of this therapy group is to support individuals impacted by gun violence, and to help process their near-death experience within a group setting sharing stories of heroism and bravery.
Healing PTSD
Healing from PTSD is often a deeply personal journey, but communities play a powerful role in recovery. A core focus of the group will be to focus on symptoms of PTSD through the framework of psychologist Bessel van der Kolk.
The Body Keeps the Score, by Bessel van der Kolk emphasizes how trauma is stored in the body and how healing often requires approaches that go beyond just talk therapy.
Somatic Integration
Somatic Therapy alongside community art therapy helps individuals process PTSD in ways that talk therapy stories cannot do alone. Research shows that movement-based therapies help to release stored trauma and rewire the nervous system.
Week I - Welcome
Meet your fellow group members in this dynamic closed-group, processing group on March 26, 2025.
Join in community, and mingle by meeting your fellow warriors.
Week II - Understanding Your Body’s Response to Trauma
Explore how your nervous system shapes PTSD recovery, integrating trauma-sensitive movement to support healing. Share and reflect on your body’s story, uncovering the connection between bodily memory and self-empowerment. Through movement and discussion, reclaim your sense of strength and agency—one step at a time.
WEEK III - Moving Through Suppressed Emotions
Unprocessed emotions and deep-seated beliefs shape our actions, often without us realizing it. This week, we’ll explore how to recognize, feel, and release suppressed emotions while unpacking the social conditioning tied to trauma. By working through these layers, we move closer to true freedom and healing.
Week IV - Remembering Your Safety
Rebuilding a sense of safety starts with clear boundaries. This week, we’ll explore how to set and maintain healthy boundaries, creating space for healing while navigating life after trauma.
Week V - Occupational Hazards
High-risk professions, like military service and law enforcement, expose individuals to repeated trauma, heightening the risk of PTSD and long-term nervous system dysregulation. Constant vigilance, life-threatening situations, and high-stress environments keep the body in a prolonged fight-or-flight state, making it difficult to return to a sense of safety—even after leaving the field.
Week VI - Rebuilding Trust - How do I feel Safe Again?
Through mapping your support system and sharing stories of combat, we will discuss and normalize our connection to fear & shame, and restore trust to the rest of humanity.
